Silicon Nitride Igniter Fitment & Replacement Guide
This guide is built around the HF1202 Series Silicon Nitride Igniter and the four details that decide whether a swap succeeds: supply voltage, coil wattage, element envelope and flange pattern. Distributors, appliance sellers and service technicians working an ignitor replacement get a matching checklist first, the published specification sheet second, and a direct line to the factory when a controller plate matches nothing listed here. Buyers who also assess the silicon nitride igniter manufacturer behind the part will find the build options, sample lead times and quality controls in the sourcing section below.
Three Checkpoints, Then the Burner You Are Working On
A wrong igniter is rarely a wrong product — it is an unmatched rating. Work through the three checkpoints, then use the scenario table to see what to confirm for the burner type in front of you.
Confirm the controller output
HF1202 Series is published as a 24 V, 120 V and 230 V igniter. Read the appliance rating plate or measure at the igniter leads before ordering, and match the supply to the coil rating.
Confirm power at the coil
Power output is offered at 120 W, 300 W, 350 W or 400 W. Check the original wattage against the burner maker's parts list so the control board sees the load it was designed for.
Confirm flange and envelope
Flange options are ceramic, stainless steel, copper or customized. Compare mounting holes and insertion depth against the drawing, and request the DRAWING file when the plate layout is unclear.
| Burner / system | Confirm before ordering | What HF1202 Series offers | Buyer action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pellet heating stove | Supply voltage at the igniter leads and the original coil wattage | 24 V / 120 V / 230 V builds with 120–400 W power options | Send the controller model if the rating plate is unreadable Quote |
| Biomass boiler or burner | Flange pattern and element insertion depth | Ceramic, stainless steel, copper or customized flange; compact form factor | Request the drawing to overlay on your burner plate Drawing |
| Gas burner or gas stove | Warm-up timing the control sequence expects | Reaches up to 1000 °C in about 10 seconds; operates at 1100–1300 °C | Check the ignition window against your controller sequence Sample |
| Multi-stage burner module or automated gas control | Space envelope and lead routing inside the module | Small size plus a stable resistance curve for predictable control | Test a sample build before committing to a production run OEM |

Why the Silicon Nitride Element Outlasts a Failing Ceramic Rod
Replacement buyers are really buying a service interval. The HF1202 Series element is built to reduce the fatigue and cracking that end the life of a conventional heater rod.
- Fully sintered microstructure — a densified silicon nitride matrix engineered to cut micro-cracks and improve mechanical strength.
- Thermal shock resistance — supports operation in high-vibration settings instead of failing at the first hard cycle.
- Oxidation and chemical resistance — an anti-oxidation ceramic formulation for rich-fuel environments and lower maintenance frequency.
- Stable resistance values — predictable heating curves that keep modern controllers within their expected load.
- Uniform heating output — reduces cold-spot formation so ignition stays consistent across a wide range of air–fuel conditions.
- Direct plug-in upgrade — intended for systems that need better ignition reliability and longer operational cycles.
Where HF1202 Series Is Used
Each listed application puts a different demand on the element. Match the environment, then check the decision line before you order a box of ten.
Biomass boiler & burner
Dirty, oxygen-poor combustion is hard on ignition hardware. The anti-oxidation ceramic formulation is intended to hold up over extended cycles and lower maintenance frequency.
Pellet burners & stoves
The compact form factor and stable heating curve are suited to pellet heaters, where the igniter has to fire on a fixed start-up cycle, run after run.
Gas burner & gas stove
A stable electrical profile keeps load fluctuations low, which matters when a controller depends on a repeatable heating curve for safe light-off.
Sourcing Direct: Build Options, Samples and Quality Control
Channel buyers and OEM engineering teams order the same part on different terms. The build options below let you standardise on one igniter across several appliance models.
- Voltage and power selection — choose the 24 V, 120 V or 230 V build and the 120 W, 300 W, 350 W or 400 W coil output that matches your controller.
- Custom flange — ceramic, stainless steel and copper flanges are standard, with a customized flange produced for your burner plate.
- Sample programme — samples in about 5 working days, mass production in about 12 working days, with the sample fee confirmed on request.
- Quality control — production runs under strict quality control monitored by SGS, ISO9001 and Intertek, with BSCI, ISO9000/1400, BV, TUV, SGS and FSC certifications listed.
- Export and packing — carton packing and H.S. Code 8516800000 for customs documentation.
Not Listed? Send Your Part Number or Drawing
If the rating plate, controller model or mounting plate does not match anything on this page, send a photo of the failed igniter, the OEM part number or your own drawing. The factory confirms the voltage, wattage and flange combination, then quotes samples or a bulk run.

View productFrequently Asked Questions
will the hf1202 series work as a direct replacement for my failed hot surface igniter?
it is engineered as a direct plug-in upgrade for systems that need improved ignition reliability and longer operating cycles. match the supply voltage, coil wattage, element envelope and flange pattern to the igniter you are removing; if the rating plate is unclear, send the original part number or a photo to info@heatfounder.com before ordering.
which voltages and wattages are available?
the series is published in 24 v, 120 v and 230 v versions with 120 w, 300 w, 350 w or 400 w power output, so the coil can be matched to the appliance controller rather than adapted afterwards.
how quickly does the element reach ignition temperature, and what is the operating range?
the silicon nitride element reaches up to 1000 °c in about 10 seconds and operates in the 1100–1300 °c range, which is 2012–2372 °f.
what flange and mounting options can i order?
ceramic, stainless steel and copper flanges are available, and a customized flange can be produced for a specific burner plate. request the drawing file to compare mounting dimensions against your existing bracket.
which burner types is the hf1202 series used in?
listed applications are biomass boilers and burners, pellet burners, and gas burners and stoves. the compact form factor also supports integration into multi-stage burner modules, automated gas control systems and compact fuel-air devices.
what are the sample and production lead times, and how do i request a quote?
samples ship in about 5 working days and mass production takes about 12 working days, with the sample fee confirmed on request. send your part number, drawing or required quantity to info@heatfounder.com or use the contact us page for a quotation.
